WHO IS THE OLD GUY?

Brad Heath builds this.

Engineer, software developer, and co-founder of Old Guyz AI alongside Josh. Brad brings decades of product and operating experience to tools for people who want to use AI with judgment.

THE SHORT VERSIONEngineer.
Developer.
Operator.

Brad is not Ray or Chuck. They are characters from the book.

BACKGROUND

Experience behind the idea.

Brad has spent about four decades building products and leading technical work. He founded and led Virtex for 25 years, expanding it to nine locations in the US and Mexico before his exit. Today he develops Old Guyz AI’s software in-house, including pkachu and Miser.

He was an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Central Texas finalist (new tab). Virtex appeared on the Inc. 5000 at least 10 times (new tab) and was recognized in Deloitte’s 2006 Texas Technology Fast 50 (new tab). Virtex was also named 2009 Progressive Manufacturer of the Year, awarded in 2010 (new tab).

That experience shapes the project’s focus: useful work, checked results, and a person who owns the decision.

THE WORK TODAY

Built, then taught.

Software

Brad writes and develops the in-house systems, including pkachu and Miser. The public Miser repository documents work in progress.
